Update in 1000 characters

Finally heading home from SD. Spent the week at a family friend's lake house. While here, I did a lot of nothing, but with that nothing came converstation. One thing I love it about here is all the stories Chuck and Audrey have, they have been my unofficial grandparents for my entire life and I don't think I have heard one story twice when with them. One thing I am happy about leaving is that I no longer have to share a room with my sister. Her and I tend not to get along when with each other for an extended period of time, extended period being more than a hour. Right now we are heading out to a powwow in some town, and then we will head towards flooded Ia. Apparentally the water in Mantown is worse then it has been in past years, but thankfully our basement didn't flood as that is where my room is and I, being the foolish child I am, have clothing and other things on the floor. I am
ready to get home and hangout with friends before I leave for college in 36 days. Proper post to come.

My trip to TN and such

This post is going to begin with random journal entries i wrote on the ride to TN, please bear with me.

13 July 4:39am
After trying to sleep for around two hours I have given up.
We are currently at a Walmart in.. well i'm not quite sure of that detail. It is apparent we are looking for someone, but I want to know who.. and where they are

Currently, i have realized how dirty my hands are, i really need to wash them, i can't wait until breakfast.

I am amazed by how not loud the other people on this bus have been. well, until now.. they seem to be trying to wake friends, well, peers.
The mystery people (persons?) seem to of arrived. i am so ready for this trip to continue.

Bus Quote
Dumbledore is nothing compared to Rumbeldore.

5:34 am
You now what?
I feel pretty awesome for being up for over 21 hours.
I have pretty much concluded I am not going to sleep until tonight, when ever that is going to be.

I made a friend :)
I knew wearing my Rent shirt would help me with meeting people.
The kid worked on a production of rent. I am UBER jealous.

We are apparently still in Iowa, i'm not sure where though.
Bettendorf.
- Who am I rooming what?
I am currently taking a break from reading the Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson as i knowi I will end up finishing it if i keep reading it at the rate I am.

I NEED CAFFEINE!

9:04 am
Other than a 20ish minute nape I have taken i am running on zero sleep right now from the last 24 hours.

I am currently charging my MP3 with my computer to ensure more music listening.

I stopped reading from awhile as TBT has reached a crappy part, my favourite minor character has been ridded of.

I am currently in the area of the Farm Land Rest area in IL.

I have no idea how much longer this trip is going to take. I cannot wait until I get to a hotel and am able to sleep.

I wish people here actually talked about things instead of reading/sleeping. I am terribly bored right now.

I hope those random rants from early morning lack of sleeping on the bus ride there help you understand how my trip to TN went.

Less than an hour after we got to the hotel, the group I was with went to the old spaghetti factory. The food there, and the people, were AMAZING.

The next day we got up early to help with some flood relief.
This meant us being in a chuck of woods/farmland dragging trash out.
It was hot, sticky and unfun.

That night, It was the opening ceremonies.

I'm going to stop giving you a play by play.

I am home now. I am kind of exhausted, leaving for SD tomorrow.
We're leaving at 6 friggen AM >.< k

12:30 Ramblings

Hello internet.
I am leaving in two hours.
I am SUPER excited.
I am currently playing Spinacles on Neopets.
Please don't judge me.
I have been up since 8am.
I got to bed around 4:30am.
I plan on sleeping the second I get onto the bus to TN.
I really need to brush my teeth, but my tooth brush is packed, thank god for gum.
I'll update you some more when I get to TN.
Mucho Love =D

Rent, the coming two weeks, and a link

Last night I went to Theatre Cedar Rapid's performance of Rent.
I have 3 words for it.
Oh My God.
Almost everything was perfect. At times, the band drowned out the singing, but since I know the play so well, it didn't really bug me.
There were two points that almost brought me to tears.
During the First act, during the song Will I, the harmonies were amazing you could just feel the emotion.
I started to tear up during Your Eyes. The Aaron Brewer's (Roger's) voice was amazing both raw and full of emotion.
Other than the band, one thing irked me off, but only for a little bit. During the Life Support scene, the names of the members were changed. In my mind I felt that as a terrible thing as the people in the original transcript (like Pam and Gordon) were friends of Johnathan Larson who had passed. Right after that scene, I remembered reading the Director's Note. The director had friends who had died or been effected by AIDS, each of their names, the same ones used during the Life Support Scene, were mentioned at the end of the directors note which i found very touching.
The end of the musical was amazing as well, i am not talking about the final scene, but instead the curtain call where the entire audience stood and clapped and/or sang along to Seasons of Love. It was the perfect ending to an awesome night.
In the words of Johnathan Larson (may he rest in peace).
No day but today.

Now I am going to shift subjects.
Yes, that was my transition, I am no good at writing them.
Tomorow, being Monday is my county fair -insert (lack) of enthusiasm here-. Since I am going to FBLA Nationals on Tuesday morning, all I get to participate in is presenting my photography stuff, which i could care less about.

Tuesday at 2:45 I am going to be leaving the state and heading south to Nashville, TN. Other than the fact that I will be riding on a bus all the way there and all the way back, i am sure i will have an amazing time. I am going there for Future Business Leaders of America National Conference.
I intend on having an AMAZING time. I don't believe I am going to have to present anything, so the trip shall be very stress free.
As I am the only person from my school going, i am going to tag along with one of my friend's schools. With them I will be going to Nashville Shores (a waterpark?), to an iMax, and to a go kart place.

The day after I arrive home from Nashville I am going on yet another trip, this time to South Dakota. I am going there with my mom and my sister. We are going to visit some of my parent's close friends Chuck and Audrey. Chuck and Audrey have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

One thing you should know about me is I love random blogs.
Forgotten Bookmarks is a blog ran by a guy who works at a book store. I find it pretty neat.

Summer =D

I am amazed I haven't started a blog until now. This entire summer, I have been bored out of my mind. If i were to put this into an infograph, doing nothing (which implies sitting behind my computer and/or watching TV) would be 90% of the fancy pie chart i am much to lazy to make.
I bet you are wondering (or maybe you aren't) "So, Kelly, what have you done with the other 10% of your summer?" That ten percent is when i actually do stuff with people. This doing stuff means either getting coffee, hanging out at the parks, or having bonfires.
Now to the topic of bonfires (don't worry, i don't understand the logic of this post either). At my homes, bonfire are pretty much just that, a group of my friends head towards my house where we burn wood in a fire pit. We talk a lot about nonsense and we drink pop and play with sparklers. No illegal substances to speak of.

I have a fun packed weekend. Tomorrow, which is Friday, I am having friends over to my house for a bonfire. I really don't have to go into further detail about that as I assume if you are still reading this post, you have read the bonfire part of it.
I cannot wait for Saturday. I am going to go to see a production of rent put on by Theater Cedar Rapids. If you don't know me, one thing you should know is I am OBSESSED with Rent. I own the final Broadway production and the regular movie on DVD. I have seen Rent around 100 times. And, on Saturday I am going to see it live for the first time, i hope my brain implodes from the awesome.

How does one properly conclude a blog post?

Hello Internetz

-insert overly dramatic sigh here-
Hello.
Welcome to my blog.
Now that my highly uneventful summer is coming close to an end, I'm starting a blog to give people insight into my soon to be eventful life.
If you, random internet user, decide to follow my blog, you'll follow me in my adventures to Tennessee, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Once my summer comes to an end, around August 27th, you will be part of a new chapter of my life, being college. Does that excite you at all internet?
If you cannot wait for my post which I hope to happen around daily (which means 3-4 times a week in Kelly Speak) you are allowed to follow me on twitter @eille_k, I update an excessive amount and may expand upon some of my tweets on here.
If you are still reading this post, I applaud you, but I must bid you farewell before I bore you to death.
Type at you soon internetzz =]
